The wait for the CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 may finally be coming to an end. Lakhs of students across the country are eagerly waiting for their board exam results, and fresh updates from DigiLocker and the UMANG app have now increased speculation that the scores could be announced very soon.
According to reports, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the Class 12 results on its official websites in the coming days. However, the board has not yet officially confirmed the exact date and time of the announcement.
More than 18 lakh students are waiting for the CBSE 12th result this year. The examinations were conducted between February 17 and April 10, 2026, across thousands of centres in India and abroad.
Students will be able to check their results through multiple platforms, including CBSE’s official websites, DigiLocker, and the UMANG app. To access the scorecard, candidates will need details such as roll number, school number, and admit card ID.
The recent DigiLocker notification saying “CBSE Class XII Results 2026 Coming Soon” has created excitement among students and parents. Soon after that, the UMANG app also displayed a similar update, hinting that the result announcement may happen shortly.
This year, CBSE also introduced the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system for Class 12 answer sheet evaluation. Under this digital process, scanned answer sheets are checked online instead of traditional physical evaluation. The move is expected to improve accuracy and speed up the result process.
Once the results are declared, students will also be able to apply for rechecking, verification of marks, photocopy requests, and compartment exams through the board’s official process.
Last year, the overall CBSE Class 12 pass percentage stood at 88.39 percent. Reports suggest that the board may continue its strong performance trend this year as well.
