Lakhs of students across the country are eagerly waiting for the CBSE Class 12 Result 2026, and the wait may soon be over. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to announce the Class 12 board exam results by the third week of May, although the official date and time have not been confirmed yet.
More than 18 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 12 board examinations this year. Once declared, students will be able to check their scores on the official CBSE result websites as well as through DigiLocker and the UMANG app.
Students will need important login details such as roll number, school number, admit card ID, date of birth, and security pin to access their marksheets online. The provisional marksheet will include details like subject-wise theory and practical marks, subject codes, and overall result status.
According to reports, CBSE conducted the Class 12 board examinations from February 17 to April 10, 2026. The evaluation process is currently in its final stage, and the board is preparing the results for release.
Students will be able to check their results online by visiting the official CBSE result portal and entering their credentials. They can also download their digital marksheets through DigiLocker after logging into the app using the credentials shared by CBSE.
Apart from the websites, CBSE will also provide result access through SMS services, IVRS calls, DigiLocker, and the UMANG application to avoid heavy traffic on result portals.
The board has also clarified that students who fail in one subject may get a chance to appear in compartment examinations, which are expected to be conducted in July 2026. This system helps students save their academic year.
